Not too long ago he had contemplated it. The Za fellow was weak, dying, an irritation and burden. Only Chesterton had stopped him from doing something he later knew he would have regretted.
And now in captivity with Susan, he sees the Daleks preparing to do the same thing on the Thals with their Neutron Bomb. Brutal. Senseless. Evil.
“That’s sheer murder.” He growls at their leader.
“NO. EX-TER-MIN-AT-ION. ON-LY THE DA-LEKS DE-SERVE TO SUR-VIVE.” The soulless machine responds.
No, he thinks to himself. He never wants to be a murderer. He hopes he will never become like a Dalek.
