Couple new things to post!
I've started a NEW booklist. I know I didn't finish the last one, but it was filled with books I thought I needed to read, instead of ones I was actually interested in. After chatting with
dannysgirlsg1who shed light on my bad habit of not reading books and then getting new ones which then sit on the shelf, I realized that I do have a problem when it comes to books. I admit it, I'm addicted to buying books at the used bookstore, but forgetting to read them. It's an addiction and I'm going to work on it. SO, a shorter booklist full of books I really do want to read and am interested in. There's no set date to finish, but I will be keeping up with updates of which book I'm on and how many pages I've read. I'm currently in the middle of re-reading Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer, but once I finish that it will be on to The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory!
Book List (not in reading order):
-Sacrifice Moon by Julie Fortune (a Stargate SG-1 novel)
-Stargate SG-1 Season 10 Illustrated Companion
-Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
-The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory
-Dracula by Bram Stoker
-Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson
-Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling
-Wideacre by Philippa Gregory
-The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
-Midnight Never Come by Marie Brennan
-The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler
Also, I'm seriously considering learning to play the violin. I've been playing the piano on and off for about 6 years and I think it's time for a different instrument. It seems to me that the violin takes a little more artistry and finesse than the piano. Plus I've been majorly inspired by the band Abney Park who's song "Sleep Isabella" has amazing sounding violin playing in it. I went down to the local music shop today and got a list of teachers and think I've already found one just outside of town. Hopefully that will pan out. It's going to take time and dedication, but it may just teach me some patience which I'm desperately needing. Maybe a bit of zen as well.
Lastly, this made me laugh....a lot. Snurched from
