"But now I know that our world is no more permanent than a wave rising on the ocean."

Update time! Just finished Memoirs Of A Geisha by Arthur Golden. Whoa. The writing just blew me away. Yes, the story was very good and epic and thought provoking and captivating, but the writing was what really kept me reading. The descriptions are so rich and the voice is so different than books I've been reading lately. It felt as if Sayuri was really there, taking me by the hand and walking me through her life. That if I closed my eyes, I could hear her whisper in my ear, describing what Nobu or the Chairman looked like while we ourselves were sitting with them in the Ichiriki Teahouse. Definately worth re-reading someday. Hmmm, maybe next winter.

So the choices for the next book are Angels And Demons by Dan Brown, 1984 by George Orwell, and Crome Yellow by Aldous Huxley. I'm still coming down off that good book!high so I can't really decide. Kind of leaning toward Angels And Demons at the moment. Harry Potter And The Order Of The Pheonix is still sitting on the shelf, waiting to be picked up. But to be honest, I'm a little tired of HP at the moment. For some reason I'm craving something a bit richer. Dark choccolate instead of white, so to speak.
