Hi!

Wow, I've been a real slacker here, eh? Anyhoo, hello from somewhere in eastern WA! We're on our way back from a whirlwind trip to Spokane today to watch sports. Being the college sports nuts that we are, we were both drooling when we realized that both Purdue and MSU were going to be in Spokane of all places! Amazingly I had a random 4 day weekend (seriously unheard of), and astinus1 got his product release off early this week. Tickets were relatively cheap (for the last row, but the view was good) and hey, stuff was in WA! The only hangup was a poor job of timezone reading on our part. We saw that our games were at 2:30 and 7:30, which would make for a late night but was doable. Then we realized late Wednesday that those times were actually in EST. Oops! So with lots of caffeine and 5 Hour Energy we left the house at 5am and crossed the mountains to watch basketball. I'm happy to report that both teams are moving on, though much less successfully than either of us would like. On that note, have any of you been to Spokane? What the heck is the big netted over crane thing lit up with purple lights downtown??

The Olympics were fabulous, and will indeed get their own post finished up once I'm back at my real keyboard instead of my little G1. I managed to pick up a Canadian Disease while I was there, so I slept a lot after we got back until I had to pack up and go to a work conference the next week with the lovely darwinweeps, Audrey and Erinn. We wandered Vegas, saw O, learned some stuff and I won 50 cents at a slot machine. Good times ;)

Last weekend I was a bachelorette for a few days as astinus1 ran away to the Big 10 tournament, so I introduced nicholasmanning to Emerald City Comic Con. Wil Wheaton's Awesome Hour was awesome, and The Guild panel was hilarious. The coolest thing? I got to see Mr. Spock! Leonard was really neat, and he read one of my favorite poems as an opener. Sadly I have no pictures due to technical difficulties with the backup camera, but I did see cool stuff! Hooray for geekery :D

In other news, our band concert last night was tolerable, I spilled grapefruit soda all over my shirt and car, and I'm sure Bailey reeeeally has to potty...
