Day 04 -- Your favorite book
My all-time favorite is The Shy Ones by Lynn Hall. I found it in the library a looooooong time ago and fell in love. It's about a klutzy girl and Goldens - can't go wrong there! It's also set in the late '60s, and I've always loved stories about life in a different era, even when I was a kid. It was out of print at that point, but I happened to stumble on a copy a few years later in a used bookstore when I was looking for some books for a class project. My only complaint is the first time I reread it after vet school I noticed a glaring medical error in one of the vet scenes (wrong bone name). I do have the 1967 version though. Most of the used book listings I can find online reference a 1983 edition - I wonder if they fixed this in later printings? I'm tempted to find one and check ;)
Yes, my favorite book is a kid's book. I see no problem with this :)
In other news, I euthanized the pet of another coworker today. Sad few weeks :(
