The rumors where flying left right and center, was Andrea Sachs the size 6 ex assistant of the fashion icon Miranda Priestly actually dating the fashion icon, or was she just a girl toy for the all powerful Miranda Priestly. Andrea would not comment and Miranda was as tight lipped as ever so the paparazzi just staked out her home like usual, waiting for Andrea to step out in the early hours of the morning disheveled and with her makeup smeared from hours of making out with Miranda, they never got confirmation of the rumor, Andy and Miranda where too smart for them, it was left to speculation and innuendo.

It was the calm before the storm, Miranda had not as yet discovered the monumental mistake both Emily and Andrea had made unknowingly, it was so monumental that neither woman was willing to be anywhere near the office when it was eventually discovered, and discovered it most certainty would be. The consequences for them both work wise and Andrea personally, would be talked about for years to come. They waited.
It soon became very hard, the waiting, each was sweating profusely, wondering whom Miranda would crucify first, Emily the first assistant or Andrea the second assistant and closeted lover to Miranda. Emily was near fainting, so she went and had her weekly piece of cheese, the second one that week, it did not matter; she would just work out at the gym twice as long.

It had been a mistake to employ this size 6, fashion challenged woman as a tutor for her girls, but it had to be done, the woman ‘Andy’ (ridiculous name) was a budding lawyer and journalist major. Her girls where falling down on their English classes and needed help. Though, Miranda admitted privately, she was wonderful with her children and quite easy on the eye. Andrea caught her staring and gave her a shy but confident smile. Miranda quirked her eyebrow at the audacity of the girl and smiled secretly to herself, this girl was going to be a challenge, so be it. Game on.

But it was not going to happen, Andrea wasn’t taking her phone calls, wasn’t taking Emily’s phone calls or Nigel’s and her friends refused to pass messages onto the woman. Miranda was at a loss.
