It was fun while it lasted
Have you ever had that feeling like you knew doom was imminent? Recently we have been selling our out of date hardware to make way for barcelona boxes for testing. Unfortunately, AMD hasn't been selling well due to Intel kicking their asses in price/performance. Due to this budgetary problem, AMD has decided to close down the Developer Center (the place I worked and managed). This leaves me with a 3 month severance and the chance to go job hunting.
The really sad part? I can't tell if I am sad or happy about this. The management in this place really needs to be looked at. It was starting to feel like office space. Seriously, I had 3 managers I reported to every day. TPS Reports anyone? Aaaaanyway... time to job hunt!
