Ant and Roach, or Flying Insect?

There is a bug on the ceiling and I don't know if I should shoot it with Ant and Roach Killer or Flying Insect Killer. Usually I would get a cup, catch the bug, and release it outside... I really want to kill it though. I want to suffocate it and then squish it... and maybe flush it into the toilet.

The dogs are barking and it makes me think that there is a murderer, rapist, or burglar outside. I am tempted to turn the lights out and peep out the window.
