Troops, there is a lot of rumors going around that says Americans cant handle the Welsh; that they want a Torchwood based in the US. Well that is just poppycock. Americans love the Welsh.
You are here today for three reasons. First, because you want to see me back on Torchwood. Second, because you want to see more Janto. Third, you are here because you are real Torchwood fans who love the Welsh. When you were kids, you admired the tales of Lawrence of Arabia, you thought not only did Anthony Hopkins had the coolest voice but you pretty much loved how he scared the hell out of you in Silence of the Lambs. You grew up listening to just about anything Tom Jones sang and over the past few years you’ve come to love me. We all have one thing in common. We are Welsh!
Americans love us. Americans don’t give a hoot in hell for another show set in America. They have too much of that already
So I am here to tell you just because you hear some rumor about Fox don’t give up this fight. You are here for the long run you are here for the Welsh
There is one great thing that you Fans will all be able to say after this fight is over and you are home once again. You may be thankful that twenty years from now when you are sitting by the fireplace with your grandson on your knee and he asks you what you watch on TV when you were his age, you WON'T have to cough, shift him to the other knee and say, 'Well, it was poor imitation of a Better Welsh show.' No, Ma'am, you can look him straight in the eye and say, 'Son, your Granny fought for the return of Ianto Jones on a show called Torchwood set in the great country of Wales
