The Day Before the 1st of May...
May 1 tomorrow. Labor Day. A non-working holiday (YAY! Even if we're asked to go on overtime, I still won't! I've grown horns!). Still have tons of video files waiting to be burned. Ah. Arkarna moment yet again.
Sharing Week 14 caps of Asian Treasures. If sources are correct, it'll only run for 20 weeks. That means 6 weeks more of capping. Unless the currency sign rears its ugly head and the Powers That Be decide to extend its run for several more weeks, risking another storytelling train-wreck. Aarrghh! Sometimes advertising sucks.

WEEK 14
Last night, there was this feature on the telly about the city where I'm at, and it was quite refreshing to see your hometown seen through a stranger's eyes. I felt slightly giddy and proud. Anyway, the Final Four survivors of Season 4 of the reality-based star search STARSTRUCK were guests, given the task to go to the ukay-ukay (overruns/bargain) shops with only a minimal amount and shop for a certain get-up. It was quite enjoyable watching them haggle with the vendors. After the program was the Videoke Challenge where even MARKY CIELO, the Sole Survivor from Season 3 (for whom I have always had a soft spot for) was also a guest. Too bad he was the first to be given the boot. Oh well. CAPS!

SS4 Final 4 on Mel & Joey
- ULTIMATE HUNK Aljur Abrenica, ULTIMATE SWEETHEART Jewel Mische and ULTIMATE LOVETEAM Mart Escudero and Kris Bernal grace the 2nd part of the Baguio special of Mel & Joey, dancing to FERGIE's Fergielicious (?).
- JEWEL & ALJUR [Jewel has got to have one of the prettiest faces around.]
- Hmm....What're Kris and Jewel doing in the first pic?
- The challenge is on! As expected, the ultimate loveteam has to work as a tandem. They were quite successful in asking for rock-bottom prices, but I think it is mainly because they are celebrities. There is NO way ordinary people will be granted an almost 70% discount from the original price. No freakin' way.
- Aljur tries out a pair of jeans, then gets down on his knees to ask for price reduction. It worked. Bleh. Next, the shirt, but the sleeves were a tad too short, until he finds a better one. In the last one he manages to get a good bargain for a sweatshirt, and brags about it to the camera, but Jewel is unimpressed. I wonder if these two are being groomed to pair in a project soon? I am so running late in news about these....Lately I've been so Ohno-centric (which isn't such a bad thing, all things considered. nyahahahahah!)
AND THE FINAL RESULTS, their overall final looks....
All-Star K! The One-Million-Peso Videoke Challenge
The only time I get to catch Marky Cielo (and take caps) was in ASIAN TREASURES. Too bad early on he had to leave this episode, but it was still good to see him again. He has a new show? With Aljur? The title's BOYS NEXT DOOR. I wonder what it'll be about. Well, about boys, for sure, but I hope the plotline is as meaty, because a talent like Marky should never be given second-rate projects, know what I mean?
