Hello!! I am getting all settled in here in Long Island. I really like my new job and the area reminds me alot of where I grew up. There is much more character here than in Dallas/Fort Worth

im doing great.im sorry it took so long to reply.i get bogged down in my friends list(mostly from communities),i sometimes forget. if you read my last entry,pete has completely broke away from his "boss". i am exhilarated since jay relapsed 7 months ago on opiates.pete never came in contact with jay too often at jobsites.what is affecting us more directly is the fact that jay could never pay pete or he'd pay in small bits.as a fellow addict i dont have to explain why jay is constantly broke.up untillast week we had NO food in the house and the 3 of us were surviving on pb&j and spaghetti.we were out of soap and using shampoo on our bodies.its terrible. pete got his final pay last week since he was holding jays tools hostage in his truck.these are tools for tile jobs including a wet saw and air-compressor,those are expensive since these are commercial grade tools and not "homeowner" brand tools.we spent $200 on groceries and all is well.pete is working with our one and only friend joey who does not use drugs. to explain,pete is a subcontractor with his own business name of unlimited tile.for the last 7 years he was a paid employee of jays company.for tax purposes pete became paid as an independent contractor which he wanted anyway.but pete only did jobs for jay. with jays "situation",jay ended contracts with builders and only does houses for a friend named greg.jays business is a sinking ship.whats he going to do when greg runs out of houses for him to frame.he burned all his bridges with his tile contracts.pete decided its was time to abandon ship. this was after alot of guilt and soul-searching.jay always took care of pete.he always took pete back after evertime he was in jail,let pete work when he was strung out.pete doesnt owe jay any more,his recovery is more important now.
