What a week!?
My head hurts. It has hurt for days. I have been sleeping a lot lately and seem to wake up just as tired as I was the day before. It has been "A Week." At work, I have been working about fifty hours per week. I worked a death investigation this last week and ended up in the hospital with Carbon Monoxide poisoning. I have to say, that sucked. I would encourage everyone to immediately go buy a carbon monoxide detector. They are cheap and will keep you out of the emergency room. I have watched people cry and investigated the trail that led to ones end. Not fun. With all of that, I have not seen anyone in my personal life. Everyone has been overlooked. I am sorry for those persons.
My sniper training is going well. I really enjoy that. I have been reading a few books lately. Marine Sniper and Stalk and Kill. They are really good books on military snipers. Those guys are a bit more hardcore than I am. But, then again, I'm not in the military. I finally have all my paperwork caught up. I was setting under a stack of reports. Four of my five days last week I had a ride-a-long with me. Now, I don't mind it. I like to teach people what I know, but I feel that I have to entertain them and can't get to the paperwork that they don't want to see. They just want to see the fun stuff. The paperwork takes so much longer. Now that I am finally done, I feel relieved and have a sense of accomplishment for all my hard work. My box is empty and I really need more than just one day off next week.
