[This recording comes in and out every so often because of the power situation. Static occasionally sounds, but the recording is generally audible.]Has anyone higher up figured out what's causing the power outage? Yes, it does seem like the problem is persisting. Everyone in our department is trying to find the source of the problem, to correct it.

What about the higher ups in your department?

The department heads don't know much more than their lieutenants and their officers do. There have been problems with office networks. Viruses are abruptly shutting some computers down and reconfiguring network security on others so we can't log into the system.

Which department would that be, and what sort of progress has been made? I don't recognize your voice.

It seems the problem is becoming worse as time passes. Perhaps, if possible, the main frame should be shut down...

Unfortunately, if that was to happen, the entire city would be plunged into darkness.

[A curt utterance.] This is sounding more and more like a no-win situation. I can't say I know much about the main frame. However, doing whatever will protect it from being damaged or infected would be the best course of action. We shouldn't risk losing control of something of that much power.
