Show.

The show at Keswick was good stuff. I ended up buying an August Moon shirt and demo because I like them a lot. I forgot to buy Manhatta stuff; they were good too. The good-to-bad-band ratio this night was actually better than most times. Saw a few people I hadn't seen in forever.

Ayin sure knows how to entertain a band. Before they played, "Eye of the Tiger" (classic song by some-band-I-can't-remember-the-name-of) played over the PA and they were dibbling around with figuring out how to play along with it and soundchecking. It was only funny 'cause they were releasing their new CD, Fear of Tigers at the show. And before all that even, as they were setting up their gear, Sarah and Shane put down two Twister mats and had tons of people play Twister on them. Hilarity ensued. I'll upload the pictures when I feel like it.

There were pits, and I was in some of them... but for some reason this dude kept telling me (of all the fucking people there!) to calm down. What the hell? What a fucktard. I did end up choking a chick once I got to a different part of the venue though, out of... shit, should I call it instinct... ? I liked it but it made me feel bad. It got her to talk to me after the show though. The things you can do to meet people.

All in all, I ended up buying $45 in merch ($35 of it being Ayin stuff, which blew their fucking minds apparently). I got three of their shirts (one of the older ones and both color variations of the new ones because they both look amazing) and a copy of their new record. You can really hear the change in the drums from the almost-finished version I heard back in October. "Satan's cock" really is a good synonym for the drumsticks used here, they're very loud. Almost overbearing, really.

Tomorrow I'm going to Tina's for New Year's. She's invited a few other people but the only other person really planning to come is this guy named Aaron and I'm honestly a little wary of going if he's there; he's such a sensitive guy and I'm... well, me. My breathing will offend him. My existence probably offends him. I hope I don't feel uncomfortable saying anything and I really hope I don't offend him and end up causing a huge scene.
