"the worst is over now, and we can breathe again..."
My life is getting to be so hectic lately!
I was so excited that my final summer reading assignment would only be ONE book, Lord of the Flies by William Golding. So here I am, saying, "Oh..I'll read that towards the end of July...no biggie."
HAH! PLEASE! I get a nasty little letter in the mail from Mr. Empson saying I would have to read The Prince and In Praise of Folly for Western Civ AP. So yeah...and on top of that...
I'M WORKING TWO JOBS THIS SUMMER! Yeah, I haven't really experienced the whole work-two-jobs-in-the-same-day yet, but Saturday I will. I work at Paper Factory as a Floor Supervisor and Winn Dixie as a Cashier. I work Saturday 8-3 at Winn Dick-me and then 4-close at PF. Yeah...that should be a blast.
But I'd rather work 2 jobs and put my hours together than work one 10-hour shift in the hellhole some like to call McDonald's.
I saw Marley Eastwood and Jessica Carlino in the McD's window Tues. night, so I was like...hey, let me tell them hey. And Hector was in there, so I wanted to chat with him too.
So I go in, hugs all around and all...I saw Terah. I forgot she had even gone back. I saw Jenna Terry, Hector, Tyana...all the people I miss. Then Mariam comes out. Apparently she was doing EOM and I was lucky enough to catch her...yeah right. She like starts asking me how I was doing and all, so that was OK. Then she gets into her "professional" mode..."So, what brought you back today?"
PLEASE! DID SHE THINK I WAS GOING BACK TO BEG FOR A JOB?! FUCK THAT! So I was like..."Umm, I saw some of my friends in the window."
She just kind of looked at me funny and we talked a couple more minutes and I left because Taylor's dad set his weekday curfew at 10:30. I feel so bad for him...10:30 on weekdays and midnight on weekends. My parents have been so much better with my curfew lately. Since I turned 17, I've been staying out till like 2 or 3 in the morning. Actually, 4 last Saturday...or Sunday morning. WHATEVER!
Oh yeah...our new Saturday night ritual (me, Cody, Lauren, and Kay Kay) is let's hang out then go chill in Lauren's office for a few hours! haha we (excluding KK) went and rode all around BR Saturday night...we wanted a damn Frosty from Wendy's...so we go and order...and they're like saying the machine is all closed down and all. So we're like OK we'll go somewhere else. Well Cody thought about it and it was 12:20 and they definitely don't close till 1. Who closes their freaking ice cream machine down 40 minutes early?? LAZY BITCHES!
So we go to McDonald's...and they closed at 12...so we were screwed.
So we ended up settling for "real ice cream" shakes from Joke in the Box.
We played Sex and I guess it's safe to say Lauren won.
Then we went back to the office...Cody left around 3:15. And I left at about 3:30.
So yeah, it's fun.
Anyways...I'm getting really tired and I have to work 11-7 (my first REAL shift) tomorrow at WD.
