Yeah, I know I'm late - as usual - but I still wanted to wish you all a wonderful 2006, filled with love, luck, happiness and health! *cheers*
Somewhere in July I wrote this:
"Sirius Black, is called Sirius Zwarts in Dutch (black=zwart), so if R.A.B. is really Regulus Black it should be R.A.Z. in the Dutch books."
I've read the Dutch translation now and there it is R.A.Z., which confirms (IMHO) that R.A.B. is Regulus Black.
No big revelation, but hey, it's something.
Our poor kitty Pruffy (see avatar) has had some kind of accident - no one saw it, so no one really knows what happened - and she has broken her right leg in two places. Surgery was out of the question, we just don't have the $1500 that was estimated and our vet told us there was a huge chance the surgery wouldn't be 100% successful either. The other option was to put her in a bench for two weeks, hoping the bones would heal. She's been there for a week now and seems to be doing much better. She eats, drinks, uses the litter and purrrrrs like crazy when she sees me. In a week we will know if it's going to be okay. Perhaps she might have a limp, but that's no problem, she will adjust her walking/jumping very quickly (so the vet told us).
If all goes terribly wrong and the bones don't heal in the right way, he might have to amputate her leg, right below the knee. But let's cross our fingers that everything is okay!
We've put the bench in the hallway so she has some peace and quiet.
Just a few weeks ago we adopted another kitty and Pruffy got along well with her. They were playing hide and seek in the livingroom and sleeping on the couch all cuddled up.

Little Sushi - as we called her - was searching all over the place and didn't understand where her big girlfriend was. Until she slipped into the hallway and discovered the bench, she was sooo happy, didn't know what else to do but jump and make funny noises. So we granted her visiting hours (well, more like visiting moments) two times a day. I don't want to upset Pruffy too much, if she sees Sushi she wants to get up and that is something she must do as little as possible.
Will keep you posted!
Positive vibes and purrrrs are appreciated :)
