Yesterday I got offered a job at Mom's "answering phones and training to pierce so you can become certified."
I don't really understand WHY everything works out for me. I don't think I have particularly good karma or anything.
AJ had finished Aaron (HEHEHEHEHE!) and was working on a few bread-and-butterflies (Alice in Wonderland; pictures to come) for me when the phone rang for the billionth time and he said, "Hey Rainy, you want a job here?" half-jokingly but definitely half-serious. I gave Aaron a look and then said, "YES." Are you kidding me? Get to listen to the gun and smell the green soap all day? That's the BEST JOB EVER! I guess I'll... be.... training to pierce... now? I have mixed feelings about that. Some good ones, but... I told him no genitals. I'm sorry. Some people do that but not all of them. I've got no problem with your vaj but I don't really want to poke it with needles.
So I have to get in contact with AJ, which I'll do soon enough. I'm just a little freaked out still. This seems too good. Though I guess I should jump on it before he makes another friend who wants to work there. He told me to think about it and let him know; that the boss would pay for everything I need to do to train, which might include taking another anatomy/phys class, which is 3 free credits for me over the winter or something. Damn.
So, Aaron and I had a good day. When we got home we went to TGI Friday's and to see The Brothers Grimm with Dave and his gf Josie who is so sweet. She's the nicest person and she and Dave are really cute. Woot. The movie was... yeah, I dunno. They liked it, while Aaron and I were saying "What the hell is going on?" every five minutes. I guess I was kinda tired too but I was lost and just uninterested for most of the movie. Some parts were kind of funny but ehh, not for me.
I guess that's all. I want to get back to Amherst NOW-ish. Yes.
