Today I learned that hummus is really hommus. Woops. I got a bunch of "generally healthy" things to eat and this always makes me remarkably happy. I think I might try to eat vegetarian for the remainder of the month, though as I say this I'm sure I'll end up having a hamburger somewhere along the line. I'm not going on any crazy diet but once again I'm trying to stop sucking at life and eating everything in sight while watching tv when I don't even want to watch the tv. I fucking hate tv 90% of the time and you would not believe how much I've watched recently.
BUT. Now, I'm kicking back into functional mode again finally, probably in part because Spain is coming up so soon. I'm gonna try to drum every day, do a few crunches, and uhhh... oh yes, actively study Spanish. I started going back through books today and I was somewhat reassured- nothing shocked me. I did realize, however, that I'm taking a placement test in S-P-A-I-N and I don't really use the V-O-S-O-T-R-O-S form, so I should PROBABLY get on that. F-u-c-k.
One thing that has made me happy this summer is that people have actually contacted me based on the fact that we're friends. I've been keeping in touch with Brian, Julie's called me twice (though I wasn't able to actually do anything :( ) and Dr. Joe. sent me an E-Mail and called. This makes me happy! And I do fully intend to see Emily sometime... when neither of us is off loathing humanity working.
Hamburger's at the point where I can finally scratch him (gently) with my FINGERNAILS, instead of slapping him. It's so wonderful. So, so wonderful.
Every time I hear a song by The Who I fall more and more in love with them. The lyrics say things that I think, and I can honestly say that this has never really happened before with a band. I mean I've had bands I really really love, but I've never been one of those people who "relates" to song lyrics a whole lot. I tend to quote 311 and the Dresden Dolls, but those are just awesome lyrics. And then Nirvana when Kurt was singing full words, or Apulanta when I have any idea what's going on. Anyway.
Oop, food. Byebye.
