Yesterday I wrote a very long and involved entry but it got lost in cyberspace. Reason number 812 why cyberspace sucks.
Work has been wearing on me more and more but I think I may have finally found another option. There's a rape crisis center in Worcester that sounds like it's hiring people to do just about everything that people can do. There's an information session today but I can't go because I have to work, ironically. Bilingualism is a big deal there and though I do NOT in any way consider myself bilingual (I'm working on it), there would at least be some sort of use for what I do know. At any rate it sounds like a big possibility- they just started reviewing applications four days ago. I sent an E-mail.
Last night was another night spent in general anxiety over whatever. Then at about 11 PM I picked up Ian and we went to Denny's. I wasn't even really hungry but by the time we got there I managed to eat my share of the Moons Over My Hammy we split. Then we tried to think of where we could go at midnight on a Thursday and came up with CVS. We went to CVS and bought kids walkie talkies, a paddle ball game, and swimming goggles. We combined these things into a game I call goggle talkie ball at the Clinton track for a bit. It was soggy out though and we both really suck at paddle ball. (I stand by my reasoning, Bee! No mit-catch! :D )
So, that was that, I came home and watched more of my Kids Are Alright DVD. Now here I am. At least I made some form of progress this morning.
OH. And while I was over here I got a phone call from my mom:
"Hello?"
"STOP THAT! No, the cat, not you. TEACUP STOP! LEAVE IT ALONE! The mouse! He came out! He's not under the couch, he's under the drums! TEACUP GO AWAY! Come over here and get the mouse!"
"Okay."
I get over there and the cutest creature to ever break into our house was breathing erratically from sheer terror under my drumset. I picked him (it was a him) up by the tail and we gave him a Cheerio. He was so small I don't even know if he's at Cheerios yet, but he licked it for a bit. After taking some pictures of him we put him outside and hopefully he can find some other mice or something... he was so small. Oi, I dunno.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand bye.
