my once in a blue moon update
So I am getting really excited…aside from the fact that I have been sick for a week, which better be done soon….
In just over a week I will be leaving for Holland! I am so excited. I leave on the 11th, arrive the 12th, and have my first dress fitting on the 13th, then I’ll pick between the new fabrics she has gotten for me.
This trip will be sad too, because who knows when I will be in Holland again. We need to start pressuring Om Chris to finally marry Anneliese so we can have an excuse to go.
What is also sad is that it is EXACTLY to the day, a year since I left for Holland for Oma Jenny’s funeral. We’re going to go put flowers at her and Opa’s grave. I have no idea what we can do for remembrance of Oma Deidal, it’ll be too early and cold for the Waterreus to be open. Oh, snap, I just looked it up and they are opening March 14th. Well we must go.
But I am looking forward to the chance to see all my family finally on a happy note and not the sad ones of last year.
We realize that last year was a year of loss, for our family and others we know, but this year is looking to be a year of joy and gain. I mean, I’m getting married, Marli’s getting married, Alex is getting married, Dianne is getting married, Amanda is getting married, Christy is getting married…I mean, what’s going on!?
Well I am super excited about my trip; it’ll be a nice getaway, and exciting to finally have my Wedding Dress!
I have no idea when I am getting my envelopes back with the calligraphy addresses done on them; I need to find that out.
I have all the cards stuffed and all we have to do is tie the ribbon things on, and stuff them in the envelopes stick a stamp on em and send em off!
I think I’ll go now and rest to try and get this cold out of my system!
p.s. I have no idea how I want to do my hair for the wedding…suggestions? (I kinda want something wavy and flowy)
p.p.s. I have no idea what music I want to walk down the aisle to, every suggestion I find online sounds corny.
