All I want to do is play music that makes everyone smile and feel good and play air guitar and kiss their girlfriends.
The show today was so.. It was so fucking ffucjdudyskdu really good. My friend Paul from MySpace took me, which was so great of him. He's a really nice guy. I had fun with him. When I walked in behind Paul, I lost him because these girls all started talking to me at once. Apparently, I went to school with one of them. They were all really sweet and cute. I love friendly girls sometimes. I made friends with them all and that was nice. The first band, City and Co. was surprisingly VERY cool. I'm sometimes iffy about that post-rock instrumental thing, because it doesn't seem like enough bands know how to do it well. These guys were actually interesting most of the time. After one song, I don't think anyone was going to clap, so I started clapping. It was weird. It's weird being the first person to clap.
I, for one, am not into Engine Down's music. It's not my thing. Nevertheless, I enjoy seeing them live because it's always really intense. The lead singer has a breath-takingly powerful voice and I respect that so much. The drummer is good. They were good. Nothing compared to rainer maria, though. Their performance was staggering. I don't really know what else to say about it. It was almost perfect. Paul was right when he said the vocals were too low, though. Somehow I worked up the courage to talk to Caithlin after the show and she seemed extremely nice and grateful and I'm glad she took the time out from being celebrity to hear me babble about how awesome she is. I saw a kid that looked like rivers but he had braces and he was my boyfriend for like thirty seconds. It was a good show. Nice kids. Paul is cool. I can't wait to see the Album Leaf tomorrow. I think Brandon and Brian Wilson will come with me after a long day filled with fun and Vietnamese cuisine.
I'm feeling a lot better today, but I wish Brandon were touching my legs. They hurt.
