Busy busy...

So I know I have posted in awhile. I've been pretty busy lately and I was sick the past week. Let's see what I have I been up? Last Saturday we had an excursion to Rotterdam. We went to a museum and saw a Charlie Chaplin exhibit. Then we went to the Euromast which is kind like the Dutch version of the Space Needle, although not as cool. Because the Netherlands is flat you can see pretty, but it was a little foggy when we went. Later we went on tour of the harbor (Rotterdam is the largest port in Europe, and rivals Singapore for the largest in the world). On the boat there was a pancake buffet. The pancakes are different over here. They are more crepe like and can be sweet or savory. I had a savory one with brie and salami. After that we just hung around at a bar by the bridge (which was illuminated with pink lights for Breast Cancer Awareness Month). On the way back to the train station we stopped at a Mexican place, and I pretty much had the worst burrito of my life!!

I spent this past week resting and trying to get over my cold. Now my roommates are sick too. :(

Yesterday I went to Amsterdam. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe. I ordered a Mai Tai and Burger....nice to have some American food. Later we walked around the Red Light District...it was a very interesting experience. It seems to be more of a tourist attraction.

I plan on hanging loose the next few days to finish getting over my cold. On Tuesday I am going to Vienna, Austria, for 5 days!!! Maybe I'll be able to hop over the border to Bratislava in Slovakia too. I'll let you know how my travels go.
