I think it might be time for a carrer change

So, this motorcycle thing keeps biting me in the ass. Just when I think I got it licked and can get comfortable, it changes. Shop went on 32 hours so I have had forced 3 day weekends for the last month.

Computer networking is starting to look more and more appealing. I have a lot of friends in that field so the help would be there.

I just need suggestions for books to start reading and what I need to think about for getting into this field. Any suggestions would be helpful.
