sitting in pain
It has been nice the past couple days with family and friends calling up to see how I have been doing. My back is feeling a bit worse today than yesterday. Don't think I should have gone out last night, but it was fun. Good time had by all. We went to a couple of different spots spanning various age groups. We watched Mike Tyson get beat by the 9-1 underdog, had a few potent drinks and ended the evening at Ryan's to listen to Frank and Brian pound out some drinking tunes.
This morning woke up and my back and throat were bugging me a bit, but at least the throat is better now. Melissa is off on one of those great female bonding adventures known as the baby shower. Jen is due in September right around my Dad's birthday. She has three showers being thrown for her. One from her friends, one from The Chauvin's, and one from Jen's mom. Lot's of female bonding. Today was the friends one. Just a small group is there today. Jen's best friend Christina is organizing the one today, and just a few friends and co-workers are attending. The Daina is going, but Robin and Carley aren't because they're leaving for the family cottage today. Have fun with those pesky black-flies. All the girls sit around talking about children and names and all of that fun stuff. I'll be on the couch watching tv.
Well that is enough of that. My back hurts and I am going to find that couch o'mine.
