Also, in terms of narrativising my life, that’s one of the banes of bourgeois femininity, I’ve known so many women, in particular, get totally fucked over by living their lives as though they were the heroines of a family saga. You get these little scenarios and they don’t play out. Or you’re scared this might be the day when the plot twist happens that was fated to. Or you see your past in terms of a series of little stories…
