Thanks for all your good wishes, I did have a lovely day.
Sorry this has been so long, but the days have simply flown passed and suddenly, it's almost two weeks later.
Dirk looked really good, fit and as handsome as ever.
Most of the original cast members of BSG were there, Cassie, Sheba, Apolla, Bejay and grown up Boxey.
I didn't go round all of them as I was so excited about meeting Dirk again, and him actually remembering who we were, that I turned right instead of left and out of the queue. I could've gone back as there were very few people in front of the rest of the group, but we hadn't eaten yet and I was now officially hungry. Mind you, the prices almost took my appetite away...
Dirk mentioned that Susan had asked him to do another cruise, but that he didn't really have the time and said 'maybe next year...?' He didn't sound very sure.
Anyway, we took a couple of photos, which I will try and put up here. There had been so many people waiting that the woman sitting next to him had told us that there was no posed photos... Well, after going all that way! Anyway, I asked Dirk if he minded if we took some photos and he said. "Well, I have been saying no, but seeing as it's you..." What a sweetheart! So Mandy and me got our photos and a giant hug into the bargain. He also said that I hadn't changed a bit and that I looked 'fabulous' - okay, it's just something that people say, but it really made my day. I leaned across and patted his face and told him he was a sweetheart. He grinned. Y'know that Faceman grin... okay, I'm a puddle in the chair just remembering that.
I'll shut up now...
