Five Crossovers

Apr 06, 2011 21:31

Author's note: What it says on the tin. There's not as much stuff being posted as there used to be, so I'm trying to remedy that a little. A little series of crossover ficlets (well, more a fusion in a couple of cases) with other fandoms that I thought would fit well. Some familiarity with the other fandoms is recommended.
Word count: about 650-900 ( Read more... )

length: oneshot, rating: pg-13, characters: doctor who, characters: killjoys, characters: hilander, pairing: none, characters: supernatural, fic, crossover

Oh wow, thank *you*. That's so kind of you to say. :D [I had thought, actually, of posting the Killjoys ficlets from that meme over here, but wasn't sure about the timing.]

An apocalypse would be a major genetics selective event.
I giggled at this for a bit. Your absolutely right, of course. And I agree with you on the likelihood of Zonerunner mutations, with the resistance to radiation being almost required. Oh man, it would be so much fun to play around with subtle mutations in a story - having the guys realize that things - that THEY are changing, and they aren't sure how to take those changes. It's one thing to be rebels and have childhood dreams of superheroes; it's something else entirely to grow bone spurs. Or wings. [ahahahaha Killjoys wingfic!]

Aww... poor Magento.

Yah, we get "Killjoys never die", where's all the immortal!Killjoys fic, eh?
Exactly! And not only that, in the canon material we have a total of three different death scenes - seems like the perfect opportunity to break out Immortals to me!

I think you're right about Nate and Sophie - though, I have this feeling that Sophie went along with Nate, and didn't realize that she couldn't grift this system from the inside until she was in the inside. Which makes it extra awful.

Did I say Sam and Dean made me grin? They totally did. And I squee'd when the Impala appeared on the scene.

BOBERT WILL ALWAYS BE THE FIFTH KILLJOY IN MY HEART! ♥BOB♥
MINE TOO.
[In fact, I might be working on something like that now... >.>.]

I'm thinking of expanding this one, so you may see more of him. :)
\o/! YAY! That great to hear! I want to know all the things in that 'verse!

Heh, I'm planning on going into medicine, so science and bio, I tend to think like that. XD And you should totally post your ficlets, more fic is always better! :D

Heh, the mutant ficlet was actually inspired by this one interview and photoshoot in RockSound magazine. And later on I was chatting with a friend about Bob's badassery, and it fit perfectly with the mutant plot bunny I'd come up with.

THREE death scenes? aside from SING, which are those? :O ApparentlyI should watch the videos more closely.

Of course the Impala was there. In my crack-filled brain, it and the Trans Am had awesome car babies. XD

OMG PLZ PLZ PLZ. :makes grabby hands: *___________* I'd love you forever and always. Me and many other killjoys I'm sure.

Well, SING is the most obvious. The end of NA NA NA is borderline - if you're playing with ideas like Immortals, it would easily apply. And then there's 'Jet Star and Kobra Kid' on the album itself. Oh, and Gerard's talked in interviews about killing your heroes a good deal, so the *idea* is canon. Which makes sense - it fits in with superhero archetypes.

Of course the Impala was there. In my crack-filled brain, it and the Trans Am had awesome car babies. XD

NOT JUST YOUR BRAIN. Seriously. That was one of my first thoughts. Prolly because I read a SPN/Transformers fic some time ago, and it is not any kind of leap at all to plug the Trans Am into that concept.

:D I'm working on it. Currently went on a side tangent with inside agent in Bl/ind management, so I have to meander my way on back to the main plot. If you want, I can send you a link to a posted section.

OMG the only way the dust-verse could be MORE awesome is if the Tran Am was a Transformer too. *_____*

This is what I'm saying! Maybe that's part of the reason the dustverse is so shitty? The war between Autobots and Decepticons? Regardless, someone *has* to write the Trans Am as an Autobot...

Oh sweet! Thanks for teh link - that's been sitting in my TBR pile for a bit. I really shouldn't have waited, as that's awesome.

Your link. It's dropped in-thread as three part comment fic. :D

Oh that would a fantastic crossover. I don't have a twitter, but someone needs to tell Gerard that the dustverse would be fabulous with MOAR ROBOTS.

Haha, and here we have yet another alternate ending. The Trans Am goes in to save her boys. :D

AHAHA!
I shoul hope that he'd know that that all things are better with MOAR ROBOTS. But I'm sure he's otherwise occupied, so might indeed need the reminder.

OH MAN. *flails* Yeah, yeah! I can totally see how that would go. The van speeds off with Dr.D, Show Pony and the Kid. There's a lingering shot of Jet Star sprawled across the Trans Am's hood. Then the headlights come on and there's that click and slide of metal on metal and the Trans Am is holding Ray in its giant robot hands. It sets his limp form aside carefully, then turns its attention towards the lobby. Korse's back is to the wall of windows; he's overseeing Party Poison being zipped into the white body bag. The rest of the Dracs in the lobby are focused on clean-up. Kobra's still sprawled in the center of the floor. When the Trans Am sees Fun crumpled up against the doors, it lets out a rumbling engine growl . Three clanking steps and its bursting through the lobby windows.

I think the car's name is Bulletproof. :D
