I saw the doctor today and found out that I am finally recovered completely, according to the ultrasound at least. I'm relieved that I don't have to have surgery, of course, but I'm not as happy as you might expect because I still don't FEEL recovered. The doctor said it's normal to still be feeling like this after a second kid even without the problems I had. So I guess this is the new normal, hopefully temporary, but I have got to figure something out. I am going to ask my family doctor to write me another referral for acupuncture in the new year when my supplemental insurance rolls over, so I don't have to keep popping ibuprofen and drinking coffee.

I found out something cheery today though, which is that VPL subscribes to a service called Freegal which provides each cardholder with three DRM-free mp3s per week. The site is a bit of a nightmare to browse, but there is definitely some great stuff on there. First thing I did was download Cher Lloyd's terrible but catchy "Want U Back", which I (now not so) secretly enjoy but couldn't justify actually buying.

Also I tried the peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies out of the Bean by Bean cookbook, and they are amazing. I need to freeze some tomorrow, because the recipe made five dozen. I'm going to pretend that this is me being very wise and doing Christmas baking in advance instead of a complete impulse decision. *nod*
