three days in the penalty box for delay of baby
So I saw the midwife.
I'm exactly the same as I was last Tuesday except that the baby is lower. But otherwise I haven't progressed at all, despite everything that's happened in between.
There are no problems with me or baby as yet but they are scheduling me for an ultrasound and a non-stress test for Friday if the baby isn't out by then.
I asked the midwife at the end of the appointment what she thought was likely, and she said "I think I'm going to see you on Friday."
This is super disappointing on many levels. There's the obvious STAYING PREGNANT part, of course, but also we have to pay for the ultrasound out of pocket. I don't know what it will be but probably a few hundred dollars.
So I'm very depressed as you might imagine.
