That's what I was trying to do, and because she's a learning support student, it's a strain of special education, and you have to get the fucking approval for the coursework from the special education department, but the itinerary has to be approved by a special education teacher that's not in the district.
And his general disdain and talking down to me kind of made me realize what he thinks of homeschooling.
I was ahead in school as well, mostly because I'm a fucking nerd, and have always been. This is evidenced by learning cursive in grade one, using my mom's nursing school Physiology books for my fourth grade nervous system report, aaaaaand the fact that I was a science geek overall.
Kaydence is bloody brilliant in a lot of ways, but because she has trouble with smaller words that look alike, I think it's a touch of dyslexia, which is a problem I had too. Hell, I still have it. I've read a sentence worth of material on accident through the span of an entire paragraph on stepped lines. Ugh, what a nightmare, especially whenever you consider that some of the words between the steps became muddied and fixed together in their own manner. Fucking brain.
So it's not like she's stupid, she's just a bit scattered, and I bloody know that. But, apparently this is not the case in the eyes of people who have fancy pieces of paper to tell them what job they're awesome at. -.-
