Well at least that's over with

So I did my demo, but it didn't get me the better job. It was hard, the kitchen was laid out so poorly I couldn't find anything I needed so I really think my dishes suffered a lot. As it is none of the kitchens had corn syrup, so I had to call Keith and ask him to bring me some. Not only did I already pay for and bring in some of my own ingredients to have to stop in the middle of cooking and have someone bring me something is ridiculous. The chicken breast was frozen, so I had to thaw them before I could even start my chicken parm. In the end I never did get to see the chefs that tried my dishes or even get feed back. I waited in the kitchen to be told my the chef that originally interviewed me that I'd be placed in the deli(a sandwich bar there) and in 6 months could work towards a transfer. I kept myself from crying then, but I've sulked around the apartment all day. It was probably a lack of sleep that made me so moody, but I was pissed that I didn't even get to see or hear a review on the dishes I'd put a lot of effort into. I know they weren't perfect, but the odds were not in my favor. A poorly stocked and unfamiliar kitchen with a time limit doesn't lead to great food. My pecan pies were good, I got to try one of those before it went out. But my presentation was bad since I couldn't find a thing I needed. Maybe it's for the best, I'll work 6 months in the deli and have to work my way into the company. I guess it was okay for my first time, I just feel like I messed up in so many way that could have been avoided and I'm bitter in the fact that they never spoke to me about the review and let me explain.
