I feel a bit better now...
I finally got job corps to get their shit together about helping me get a job. I was reapplying for the hospital job since they reposted it, this time I'm using their application rather then my resume in hopes that gets their attention, and when calling my old chefs I was given the number to contact my CSS specialist. It seems my file was sent back to CT...cause you know I live there. They finally got me a new specialist in the Dover area that will help me get a job. And he's going to meet with me next week. It's so nice when they figure out where they went wrong and are quick to help me. I mean I've spent the last 3 months on my own trying to find work, and that was one of the things job corps was suppose to help me with when I exited their program.
I just submitted my application for the hospital, hoping that gets noticed more then my resume since it's filled out to their standards and includes everything they could need. Including my servsafe certification number, so they can see that I am trained and wont have to train me in that. Always a bonus in my mind, but I guess to some companies they see it as meaning I'd expect hirer pay. Either way, I just hope they see that I'm interested and what their looking for. I've worked in a number of culinary settings and have experience in a cafeteria like they are.
I'm just hoping that this will help turn around the problem on not getting work and help me get something rather the it just being me alone trying to find something. I have stuff to do for them which isn't an issue, I can get it done. I just really hope this works out and I get something.
