Fucking hate job corps, they called last week and left a message saying they were mailing my finished pay, I just needed to call them when I got it and send them two more pay stubs(even though they already got like 4 of them). So this morning my mother faxed in my pay stubs and around 1pm my school called to say they were fedexing the check right then and to expect it in two days. Rather pissy that they'd already woken me I said "I was told last week that this was already mailed and have been waiting for it. If you'd been a little more clear in the voice mail that you needed the paystubs to send the check I'd have had them to you the same day." But all the same their finally giving me my money. Only took a few weeks of calling.
The way they treat advanced training students was just rude, we get there and they dump us, not explaining anything to us and expecting us to figure it out on our own. Through out our stay there we're treated like 6 year olds even though most of the advanced training student were over 21. When the normal job corps student leaves they leave with check in hand, we get sent home for two weeks to get a job and then in about 2 months get our check. Now if you exit without a job like some students do from job corps there, you get half of your check.
I dont know if I'd want half of my money, but it would have been nice to leave with at least a little money rather then come home with nothing. But atleast now I know it's on it's way to me. I get 90% of my finished pay after taxes(it's over $900 or so) and the back student pay they owe me($230, I think I earned more then that, but that as much as you get). So I'm getting my Wii and I'll be covered for otakon and rent. At least some fun things will come from this wait and bullshit.
I have another headache starting on the left side of my head, but since this is like the 4th day in a row I dont want to take anything since it's probably my body being dependant on the medicen I've been taking and looking for more.
