[By now she's picked up her communicator again and set it down on the desk, taking a chair and sitting by the window as she looked out down the street. People were dying, the whole city was in a state of panic, and... she couldn't do anything, again. Silently, she let another tear slip down her cheek; the sense of fear was worse than the sense of helplessness.]

[ Fiddling with the knob and creaking the door open, Hayner peeked his head in with a light blink. Sheepishly smiling, he opened the door a little more to step inside. ]

I... I've been told they're alright. But he had people living with him and their apartment gave in, so... I'm just so worried about them.

[ Hayner had stopped walking when Namine approached him and finally found a small scrap cloth in his pocket. Checking it quickly to make sure it wasn't used or anything, he offered it with a small smile. ]

Maybe they got away too, since he's okay! Or maybe they weren't home when it happened and stayed safe at a lower level?

[ He nodded just a little in agreement to not wanting to see anyone else die. All of this death was starting to wear on him, and Hayner was starting to grow afraid that one day he'll think it's not important. That's not how it's supposed to work.. ]
