Well... today's the day. Today, 2 years ago, I woke up to a broken-down building and two moons in the sky. It seems like so long ago, now.
Happy Birthday to me, I guess. [a little laugh.] I can't believe I've been here this long. So much has changed, I... I can hardly remember how this place was when I arrived. All the people that have come through, too... I hope they're happy back home.
And you know, as weird as it sounds? I'm hoping for another year, in my home... here.
[she smiles again at the communicator, and the connection cuts off.]
