I arrived in Budapest on Thursday morning, and have at this stage spent three nights here. The first two days were very hot and humid, while yesterday was fairly dull, more like Irish weather.
Have just logged on in an internet cafe in a shopping centre, on the Buda side of the city. Will update my journal properly when I get home.
Doing a good mixture of touristy things aswell as checking out the nightlife. Saw a lot of sites, including a very surreal Statue Park outside in the countryside, which housed all these old Communist statues in a field.
The people remind me of Irish people a little, not the friendlist immediately, but nice people all the same.
Things are quite cheap here, particauly food and drink, much cheaper than home. Clothes are about the same, but I didn't come here to shop.
Budapest in general is a nice city, with the Danube flowing through the centre, spitting the regions of Buda and Pest.
Tonight is my last night, and am flying home to Ireland tomorrow night.
Have taken lots of pictures; will post some when I get back.
