Schneider TM & KPT.michi.gan

I was watching some music videos on "The Amp" TV channel a few minutes ago, and they played this stunningly brilliant cover of The Smiths' "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" by someone/thing called Schneider TM & KPT.michi.gan. I did a little research on the net, with a view to downloading it, but then I found it on an Ibiza chill out CD I have from a couple of years ago, that I must never have listened to (it was free with Muzik magazine).

Its a brilliant discovery. From the sleeve notes the cover was released in 2000, but I don't think I ever heard it tonight. Its a really electronic & filtered version of the Smiths song.

I was about to call the title of this LJ post "And if a double-decker bus Crashes into us To die by your side Is such a heavenly way to die", but then that would have been quite tasteless given the double decker bus crash in Dublin the weekend before last.

Seek out this track and love it!

On a similar vein, I want to listen to Squarepusher's cover of "Love Will Tear Us Apart, but I can't find it on my hard drive; I must have deleted it accidentally. It's a brilliant cover of the Joy Division classic.
