Unfortunately, France beat Ireland pretty convincingly in Paris this afternoon, 35-17. In the first half, Ireland avoided a repeat of the World Cup match in Melbourne, and kept the score pretty close to France, but France managed to pull away in the second half. We badly missed the likes of Geordan Murphy and Denis Hickey in attack, to make something out of all the possession we had.

Attention now focuses on Lansdowne Road next Sunday, when we take on Wales, who incidentally beat Scotland in today's other Six Nations match. I have a ticket for the game, and am looking forward to going. I am lucky enough to have two opportunities to go to Lansdowne Road this week coming, as I also have a ticket to the soccer match between Ireland the soccer World Cup holders, Brazil. Should be good craic!
