damn, I am such a woman
I'm not sure I understand this phenomenon, or why it happens, but I am apparently physically incapable of turning off Pride and Prejudice when it's on TV. No matter how tired I am, no matter what else I want to be doing/am supposed to be doing, I must watch it until the end. This goes for both the mini-series and the new movie. But especially the new movie (mmm... matthew macfadyen). I swear, I saw it twice in the theaters, and I have seen it at least three times on DVD (which I own). I've even sat through the director's commentary.
I have to wonder if this applies to all Jane Austen novel adaptations. And maybe even An Ideal Husband (another period movie).
