black screen of not so good video

 I'm having some iPod issues.  Lately, the teevee episodes that I download (legally, JLS!) won't play on my iPod Classic.  That also means that when I use my adapter to hook my iPod to the teevee, all I see is a black screen.  However, those same episodes seem to play just fine on the new iPod Touch I bought this weekend.  Coincidence?  Apple forcing me to buy a new device?  Or bait and switch?  You decide.




Still getting used to typing with my thumbs.  And searching for free wi-fi in all the wrong places.

Can any iPhone/iPod Touch users recommend some cool (and preferably free) apps I should check out?
