I was in line to be advised with a counselor to change my major from English to Accounting the other day. Right when I was about to enter the counselor's room, the girl behind me asked me what I was 'there' for. She was a nice girl but she sorta laughed...ok she didn't 'sorta laugh' she laughed when I said I was changing my major from English to accounting. As if English majors are the most pathetic or ridiculous majors in the world? Okay, none of that was said, she was like, "oh, I see."
Sometimes, human reactions surprise me.
It's only human for people to judge and criticize.
It's only human for people to laugh or shout.
Well I'm just bitter because I'm one of those people who never figures things out in time. I.E. my career and educational goals are always without focus. And when I am faced with people asking me about my life, I stumble and smile and deprecate myself.
It's only human for me to be embarrassed until I realize I let people get to me too much and I don't have to let people affect me.
