Well well, another LJ writer's block question - I'm interested in responding to this one...just to try it out. It's convenient for us with busy lifestyles (haha) that they come up with a new question everyday.
If you had to choose, what couple from TV, cinema, or literature, would you choose as your parents?
I would choose Lorelai Gilmore from the Gilmore Girls as my mom, because I like her humor and she would do things the ghetto way and not be all uptight all the time. She loved watching old classic movies and making fun of her own parents with Rory. Also, I lived with a father growing up, so it would be interesting to see what it's like living with just a mother. A mother who is "cool" and "hip" to say the least.
If I had to have a father too, it might be the type of father who is very calm and understanding and never yells...HA, FAT CHANCE OF FINDING ONE OF THOSE. Actually, the father in "Amelie" is a perfect candidate because he's very quiet and attends to his own hobbies and adores Amelie.
The parents in Japanese dramas are always cool too. They're always goofy and overexaggerated, like the parents in Hana Yori Dango with Tsukushi. They were always rooting for her to go to that rich school they couldn't even afford.
oh yeah and Juno's parents in "Juno" were hilarious. I love comedies!
