Well, last night I was pleasantly surprised. We went to the Herecs' (family friends), and I was prepared to have a rather awkward time of it since Maddie (the daughter) has gone off to college. They have a son named Sam, who is literally three days my senior, and although we used to be wicked close we had managed to grow apart a little over the past three years or so,. Last night, however, he was rediscovered to be his wildly amusing self, and, above all, an excellent guitarist. I knew he was good, of course, he's been fooling around with guitars since I can really remember, but this was absolutely spellbindingly miraculously great.
He played Hendrix.
With his teeth.
I am not kidding. It was good enough that he could play it over his neck behind his back like he can, but he was actually busting out riffs with his teeth. I was amazed.
Needless to say, I had a marvelous time.
In other events, the glumness that has been suffocating me for the past three days at last has lifted, and I'm in quite a cheerful mood. Furthermore, I did a rough sketch of Goldilocks and found it quite to my liking, even if it isn't exactly technically superior...
I cannot resize this damn thing without warping it beyond proper recognition. So here's the link, for the estimated one of you that cares.
