Idk what's going on with my internet connection but my Wip Wednesday post just got eaten and I'm not staying up to try it again. To give you the short version: I've made an executive decision to break my recent streak. I got "refuge" as a prompt and did continue the zombots fic but I got close enough to the end that it felt unsatisfying to leave it. Finishing also felt unsatisfying, however, because all I could think about was how much better it would be if I'd done the edits I've been putting off to avoid killing my forward momentum. Showing off polished work isn't really the point of this game, of course, but since I've written most of this fic based on prompts for I've taken for it, I've been looking forward to showing off the finished product and I feel like it loses some oomf if I first post a complete rough draft. So! I'm withholding the final portion until I can post the final draft this weekend. I think that'll be more enjoyable for all involved but we can decide that for certain what we think about it when the time comes.
