(no subject)
Y'know. I was having a pretty good day. Woke up with a bit of a headache due to sleeping crooked and a bit of drainage due to sleeping by a window but still felt rested.
Played with my nephew a bit-- he came home with me for a sleepover after the movie last night-- and made him some food, then took him for a walk to the tea café. The weather went from pleasant to too hot in a hurry but it's not like we weren't going to get a drink.
My sister met us there with my niece. The kids got kinda rowdy after being reunited but, hey, they're kids. They still drank their drinks and made overtures of calming down, at least.
We went to the nearby Ross, since Transformers toys have been showing up there hekka cheap over the last few days. Also got some new shoes, finally, a new nightlight for the guest room for when littles are staying over and a couple treats for the nibblings. Stopped at Walmart for my orange yarn, as planned, and a couple books also for the nibblings. Grabbed lunch, went back to my place to hang out. Again, the kids were kinda wild but everyone ate and played and colored and watched a few videos on YouTube.
My throat didn't fully clear but it wasn't that noticeable most of the time. My headache never really faded either but considering I was out of Aleve, completely blanked on buying more and had small kids raising their voices and climbing all over me, that was to be expected. At least it's the time of year where my poor circulation starts to make my hands feel their chilliest, so I could press them to my face and the back of my neck to try to soothe it. Even if it did feel like my skin was on fire when I did that. Again, I was dealing with two small, wannabe-feral children. The air was on, though, so I kept thinking surely I would cool down any moment...
To keep a too-long story from getting too much longer, I have a fever. 101.8! Of course it's no guarantee of anything but my COVID test was negative. And I don't feel like I have COVID, not that I did immediately the last time I was sick. It feels a little like the last time I had strep, tbh, and I'm hoping that's all it is. I'll test again tomorrow-- fingers crossed! I was planning to get my shot soon and everything T-T
Of course, this means I won't be seeing The Creator tomorrow, as my sister and I planned earlier today :/ That stings, even if it is one of the more minor consequences. As I said, my nibblings were all over me throughout the day and my sister was in close quarters with me too. Fingers crossed also that they haven't caught anything off of me...
