(no subject)
So, I went ahead and started the applications for those zines I talked about and... I have no idea why this didn't occur to me but of course the Beast Wars zine is favoring sample works featuring the Beast Era and/or its characters. And when I mentioned yesterday that I haven't posted much Beast Wars fic, what I really meant is that I posted one drabble several years ago as part of a Femslash February challenge. Yeah. Most of my ideas for fic have revolved around that big AU I've been writing off and on for however many years now.
I had the idea that maybe I could write up a few quick one-shots to post but the few ideas that I have that are independent of that AU are either also for longfics-- or at least long enough that I won't have them finished to my satisfaction, never mind posted, before the application deadline-- or are for stories I want to, y'know, pitch for the zine. Which makes me feel just stuck enough to start panicking, which just makes me feel more stuck, lol. Not quite sure what I want to do here but I hope I think of something before time runs out. Even if I don't apply, better for it to be on my own terms and not because I trapped myself in a corner.
