Okay, so. They're remaking the Stooges. All three of 'em at that. I'm sure this isn't the first I've heard of it, but for some reason it really hit me when I saw an article on Yahoo. I really don't know what it is. Seeing that it's actually being done, maybe, or seeing the proposed cast pictured alongside a photo of the original Larry, Curly and Moe. Maybe the article itself, with talk of "a fictional treatment that maintains the Stooges' gleeful slap schtick updated for a modern milieu." Could even be that my subconscious just really wanted to make that lame "nyuk you" pun.
Anyway.
THIS TOTALLY SUCKS!!one!
Yes, I'm passing judgement on a movie that hasn't even been officially cast yet and, yes, I do know that makes me something of a douche. I don't care. This sucks. The Stooges don't belong in a modern milieu. They... I dunno. They just don't. I mean, what next, remaking Marx Brothers movies? Charlie Chaplin? Buster Keaton? It's not really the movies/shorts that are so great, Hollywood; it's the actors. Them, you can't remake.
