we left the farm finally. that was a really weird week. there were lots of lord of the rings references...for example: two of the kids we stayed with had names taken from tolkien (elwing and aerandir), there's a real estate agency called 'middle earth' and i met a guy who doesn't wear shoes and goes by the name frodo. not only that but the scenery was straight from the movie...bright green grass on rolling hills, perfect weather...
the family smoked pot and ate a lot of food. or ate a lot of food because they smoked pot...?
we rented a car yesterday. a yellowish jalopy. i've got a sore throat from all the fumes it puts off.
today we're enjoying the first bit of sun in days at the beach.
