I was discouraged about the viability of my storyline idea, but last night I had a brief flash of inspiration while listen to Demon Days. xD Before, it felt like the whole thing was too confused and cluttered to work with. Now, it's not so bad. I'm actually a little bit excited to work on it. I won't be writing down the idea here, however, because I have a very bad habit of sharing the framework with people and then just leaving it at that. If I want the story told, I'm just going to have to animate it. So there.
Of course, I couldn't get to sleep for quite a while my brain was working overtime last night. After awhile it sort of quit paying attention to the story and began to work on one of its low-grade freak attacks about things I probably shouldn't even be worrying about (seeing as they're usually not real, 'n all e__e' ). I got up and worked on cleaning my room a little and still wasn't tired, so I just sat there and listened to music until I felt like I could get to sleep. 4am isn't too bad, I suppose, but it's not great if you're planning to do constructive stuff the next day. Bleh. I have a love/hate relationship with day. On the one hand, the sunlight cheers me up. On the other hand, I have to be awake.
After I find a pair of clean pants to wear (how did I end up with only 3 pairs of jeans?), I'm going to Barnes and Noble to turn in a work application and hopefully find a good human anatomy book. Very important to know how to draw people if you're going to be animating! Friggin' people with, like, noses and lips and stuff. x| Ffft! Hate drawin' noses, but it's neccessary, otherwise your characters end up looking freakish and incomplete in profile, like in that cartoon Oban Star Racers. Maybe their lack of olfactory openings is an evolutionary response to the horrible stench of the stale dialogue that pervades the show. Hmmm.
