It would be a waste to be in Istanbul and not have a chance to enjoy it. Have fun! And go to the Grand Bazaar for me if you can. ;)
I'm looking at using Expedia or something similar for my trip as well--they seem to have pretty good deals and it's easier to go through an American company than not.
Oh, totally. I think a stop in Istanbul is just what I'm going to need at the end of my trip.
That's what one of my coworkers said too, and I hadn't thought about it that way. If something does go wrong, I can always get a hold of Expedia, but getting a hold of the airline while I'm in Asia won't be easy since they're based in Turkey.
I haven't decided yet! I know I'll definitely be there for a few days after I land, but I'm just going to take my time and leave when I'm ready. I definitely have been thinking about either Christmas or New Year's there though, so I might be there then!
I always use Expedia. And even if I don't end up purchasing from them, they're my first go to and then I look elsewhere for cheaper. But they're normally pretty good! :)
